Obturator Nerve

Origins:

Anterior divisions of ventral  rami of  L2.3.,4

Course

  • Exits pelvis through obturator canal joined from below and behind by obturator vessels.

  • Divides into anterior and posterior branches:

  • Anterior one emerges above obturator internus

  • Posterior one pierces obturator externus

  • Adductor brevis separates the two branches.
