Genicular anastomosis formed by the following arteries

From popliteal artery

  • Superior medial genicular
  • Inferior medial genicular
  • Superior lateral genicular
  • Inferior lateral genicular
  • Middle genicular

From other sources

  • Anterior recurrent branch of the anterior tibial artery.
  • Descending genicular from the lateral circumflex femoral
  • Descending genicular from the femoral artery

Venous drainage occurs through the corresponding veins that empty into the popliteal and femoral veins respectively.
