Blood supply and Innervation:

  Blood Supply:

Talocrural anastomosis formed by:

  • Malleolar branches of:

    • Anterior tibial

    • Posterior tibial

    • Peroneal arteries

  • Recurrent branches (minor) of:

    • Dorsalis pedis

    • Calcaneal branches of lateral and medial plantar vessels

What is the pattern of /and blood supply to the talus? What is the importance of this as relates to the ankle joint?

Innervation:

The nerves are derived from the deep peroneal (anterior tibial) and tibial nerves
